MbusMasterFunctionsconfigureBigEndianInts Method (Int32) |
Configures 32-bit int data type functions to do a word swap
on a per slave basis
Namespace:
FieldTalk.Modbus.Master
Assembly:
FieldTalk.Modbus.Master (in FieldTalk.Modbus.Master.dll) Version: 2.15.2-eval+3d8362b4bb861c05760d48b11d303e954bb8597c
Syntaxpublic int configureBigEndianInts(
int slaveAddr
)
Public Function configureBigEndianInts (
slaveAddr As Integer
) As Integer
public:
int configureBigEndianInts(
int slaveAddr
)
Parameters
- slaveAddr
- Type: SystemInt32
Modbus address of slave device or unit
identifier (Range: 1 - 255) A value of zero configures the behaviour
for broadcasting.
Return Value
Type:
Int32 BusProtocolErrors.FTALK_SUCCESS on success or
BusProtocolErrors.FTALK_ILLEGAL_ARGUMENT_ERROR if
argument out of range
Remarks Modbus is using little-endian word order for 32-bit values. The data
transfer functions operating upon 32-bit int data types can be
configured to do a word swap which enables them to read 32-bit data
correctly from a big-endian slave.
